The Dream and The Simpsons

I'm weird. When I first heard The Dream's "Fancy", which is probably my favorite song on his album, I heard the 5 second French accordion and automatically thought of some cartoon that used it. At first I thought of "The Triplets of Belleville" but that wasn't it. And then I saw The Simpsons episode a few days ago with the story about Dark Stanley and I freaked because that's where it came from. Mystery solved. I can't find the original music used in the show but the song composed for that episode was inspired by a song by Astor Piazzolla. I'm such a damn nerd, gross.

Fancy - The Dream

Depressing accordion may be my new sound behind black college marching band trumpets.

  1. I love having friends like you that put me onto the most obscure stuff.

I'm favorited that video for when I finally become a club vj (which btw seattle clubs need to figure out)

Also I've been getting into accordion stuff too. You must like that forro music, ms. brasil.
