Japanese Diaspora

I'm trying to learn more about Japanese folks in Latin America. I stumbled upon something I never knew. Check it-

During WWII, Latin Americans of Japanese descent were sent to live in internment camps in the US.

few people knew that the U.S. government, in collaboration with various Latin American governments, also kidnapped, transported, incarcerated, and held hostage over 2,000 Japanese Latin Americans. The bulk of these people were Japanese Peruvians.
